Pre-production is the planning stage of your shoot, and occurs before the camera starts rolling. By creating storyboards and figuring out the budget ahead of time.
Production is the shooting stage of your shoot, which includes cinematography, audio, green-screen, lights, as well as directing.
Post production (video editing) begins when camera stops rolling. All footage organized, and then edited. Effects and transitions, music is added and posted on DVD and Blu-RAY.
